Capitalism Vs Socialism – An Essay
This article is my view on why capitalism and socialism are not the ideal systems of government. It also shows that our current political system in the USA is too complex and far too divided into classes, which inhibits economic growth. In addition to that, capitalism and socialism fail to solve most of the problems in society today such as climate change, poverty, and health care. These two systems will fail to meet the needs of humanity in the years to come.
The premise of this Capital Vs Socialism Essay is simple; capitalism is failing and socialism is failing. But why are capitalism vs socialism always misunderstood? Why is capitalism inherently bad while socialism is fundamentally good? Well, let’s look at this shall we?
Socialism is fundamentally evil because it is an ideology which was originally developed in the Soviet Union, prior to World War II. Socialism is also anti-private property and is fundamentally anti-freedom. Both of these ideologies have been used improperly throughout the world. A good example would be Communism claiming that they were a better system than capitalism, yet all the benefits of capitalism were stolen from the people under communism. In addition to that, socialism has never helped the middle class and only has enriched huge businesses at the cost of the average person.
capitalism vs. socialism essay further demonstrates that both systems are inherently evil and should not be used by humans. Now then, why is capitalism inherently bad? It is based on stealing and cheating businesses, whereas communism is based on providing a better quality of life to its citizens. Furthermore, the term capitalism and socialism are interchangeable; as stated above both are socialist systems.
So why do capitalism and socialism fail to properly define capitalism?
Capitalism is usually described as a form of “laissez faire” capitalism, which is very generous in its economic policies. A good example would be the Ford Motor Company, which allowed its employees tremendous prosperity. It was great because everyone got a fair chance to succeed and no one was discriminated against because of race, gender, religion, or national origin. Socialism on the other hand is usually defined as a form of centrally planned economy, where there is guaranteed employment, centrally controlled distribution of resources, and a centrally managed economy.
Why is capitalism often considered capitalist, while socialism is often considered communist?
The simple answer is capitalism is considered capitalist because it is designed to provide its citizens with freedom and abundance while socialism is considered communist because it is designed to take away freedom and abundance from its citizens. Socialism, like capitalism, usually would allow its citizens to freely choose to work for themselves and create wealth for themselves. They would also have a large degree of freedom to choose what they want to do with their own money. On the other hand, capitalism, like communism, doesn’t offer that option.
Capitalism vs. socialism essay proceeds from that conclusion.
It further defines capitalism as the free market capitalism, while socialism is considered communist because it is centrally planned and therefore tries to control the wealth and prosperity of its citizens. Socialism also requires large amounts of taxation from its citizens and often goes overboard with regulation. However, it also provides a sense of community because everyone shares in the wealth created by the country. Whether you consider socialism or capitalism a worthy investment in your educational endeavors depends largely on your own feelings about individual freedom, opportunity, and prosperity.
Consider this question: Is capitalism a better way of live than communism? If you are living in a country that practices capitalism, then obviously you will choose to live in that country and not go anywhere else. Conversely, if you live in a country that practices communism, then obviously you will not choose to live in that country and you will never go anywhere else. This essay attempts to show how Communism is the failed socioeconomic system, while capitalism is the better way of life based on some thoughtful and honest thinking.
