Hello my name is Bjorn Aasgard and I am starting a project to live off of the land. I have found that the traditional farming community is the best place to live. Modern systems are corrupt and doomed for failure, the people in these systems are mostly sheep who are becoming stupider with each generation. The goal is to start a farming community in Northern Idaho of the United States and then spread out to the West and East. Houses will be built naturally for the most part. This will be a community where people can eat meat, if you are vegetarian you are also welcome. In case anyone is wondering when this is supposed to happen. My current plan is sometime in the summer or fall of 2013(if it was in the fall we wouldn't be independent until next growing season) to the spring or summer of 2014. This is for people who are completely serious about getting out of the system and creating a place where we can live freely. There will be NO money charged for anyone. Donations will be accepted and used to buy items for our population such as knives, guns, seeds, candles, and such. You will need to travel here off of your own money for now but after we are established we may pay to bring some people in. Survival skills are recommended. Heathens and NS(race is your religion) religions only(Odinists, Wotanists, Asatru, etc.). Although we will have some things from the modern world, we will be living similar to the vikings under more favorable conditions. Our voting system will be known as the thing and the annual Althing. They had this system in Iceland and it worked well. Warriors(male and female) will be the only voters allowed. Mead is allowed. Drugs and alcohol brought in from the modern world are not. If you want to make your own mead in our community and drink it in your own house nobody is going to care. However, if you go out in the community drunk and danger the folk or cause any problems you may be tried at the local thing. The children will be taught by a local teacher or they may be home schooled. They will be raised to be strong like the ancient vikings. You can teach your children a trade, or bring them to be an apprentice to somebody also... There is no mandatory education though education will be promoted and libraries will be built. This is a model of viking society but thralls/slaves are not allowed since wherever people have had slaves they have always brought down the higher people. The age of adulthood is 15 for males and females. Both males and females 15 and up can vote(if they have fought in the military),own land, etc. Abortion is not allowed except due to rape or if the child is known to be mixed or has defect. Non-whites which are not allowed in our society will be known as Skraelings which the vikings called the Indians in America. Fruit and nut trees will be planted and the penalty for cutting one down is great. We will not have a currency, as we will trade to prevent misuse. There will be no cars. A primary means of transportation will be by horse. There will be no items such as ipods allowed. Instruments will be brought and musicians will appear. After the community has been officially formed and we have the people we need, we will vote at a thing when to not allow any more people into our communities, too many people with different values is bad for obvious reasons. There will be no immigrants into our lands, and anyone entering will be forced to leave. Our community will need to be built with the people we have and large families are promoted. Outsiders are likely to seek our destruction and we should see them as the evil spawn of Loki(Skraelings) the trickster. Whites outside of our land who aren't aware of the current issues affecting them will be known as sheep. Milk should be drunk in raw form when drunk.. Fruits and vegetables are best to be ate uncooked. Processed food such as sugar will not be allowed in the community. You can eat natural sugar in fruit. We will not have pills, vaccinations, and other such things. The name for the community will be modeled off David Lane's book KD Rebel and the nation will be known as Kinsland. The people of Kinsland will be Kinslanders. The official language will be English. German, Icelandic, and Scandinavian(Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish) will also be allowed. Men will be allowed to have more than one wife.
