What's better for the NSM?

I have a question for about the  NSM and NewSaxon!!

I love to buy music. I'm not sure how much Saxon and NSM benefit from buying the music cd's. So my question is do you benefit more from buying loads of muic (basic trade), or do you benefit more with donations eqaul to the purchase of a Music CD?

I'm not trying to be nosey. But I had it in mind that buying the music not only benefited myself but the other two said above names money wise.
