The Dream Act did not pass the Senate; it was in all reality simply put aside. They say it will not be voted on again untill next year, but don't be so certain about that. We're dealing with a very sneaky lot. We must keep a close eye on them!

Keep the calls and fax(es) coming. A simple and polite letter telling them that you oppose it with a few signatures from your friend, family, and co-workers is highly effective.

Something as simple as the following is adequate:

Senator or Congressman ***,

I oppose the Dream Act, and hope you will too. If passed into law, it will only encourage others to violate our borders and increase the burden on the American tax-payer.

I will be following your actions and informing others. I will also be voting.

Internet petitions are good, but calls and hand-written or typed letters are far more effective. DO BOTH!
