Crisantos Moroyoqui-Yocupicio gets 14 years in Chandler beheading

Crisantos Moroyoqui-Yocupicio Chandler Police Department

A Chandler man convicted of murder in the 2010 beheading of a man in a Chandler apartment was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Crisantos Moroyoqui-Yocupicio, 39, pleaded no contest to second-degree murder in March and was sentenced Wednesday by Judge Joseph Kreamer of Maricopa County Superior Court.

Moroyoqui-Yupicio, an undocumented immigrant, was accused of beheading 38-year-old Martin Alejandro Cota-Monroy, who authorities say had stolen drugs from a Mexican drug cartel.

Moroyoqui-Yocupicio faced a punishment ranging from 10 to 16 years in prison.
Authorities believe the killing was intended to send a message that anyone who betrays the traffickers will get the same treatment. The case has been cited as an extreme example of Mexican cartel violence spilling over the border.

On the night of October 10, 2010, police officers responded to a gruesome scene at an apartment in the Phoenix, Arizona, suburb of Chandler. The cops found the decapitated body of 38-year-old Alejandro Cota-Monroy. He was the first isolated case of Mexican cartel violence spilling over the U.S. border.

Last week, Crisantos Moroyoqui-Yocupio pleaded no contest to participating in the murder of Cota-Monroy, a suspected mid-level member of the Beltran-Leyva drug trafficking organization who allegedly stole drugs from a gang aligned with the Sinaloa Cartel. Three other suspects who fled to Mexico remain at large.

According to police in Phoenix, the beheading was intended to send a message about what happens to people who try to get over on the cartel. Mexico is used to the macabre killings. Headless bodies have been dangled from bridges by their feet; severed heads have been sent to victims’ family members and government officials; and bags of heads have been dropped off in high-profile locations.

Arizona has long been a hub for human traffickers and dope smugglers. Forty-four percent of all marijuana seizures near the nation’s borders were made in the Border Patrol’s Tucson sector from October 2011 through September 2012. According to the homicide report, citing border patrol intel, Cota-Monroy had stolen 400 pounds of marijuana and some meth from the PEI-Estatales/El Chapo drug trafficking organization. Cota-Monroy told the cartel that the Border Patrol had seized the drugs, but the cartel learned the truth and hired men to kidnap and kill him in Nogales, Mexico.

But Cota-Monroy had a silver tongue. He convinced his captors that he’d pay back the money and used his house as collateral, the report states. But he was lying. The house wasn’t his. Cota-Monroy fled to the Phoenix area, leading the cartel to hire assassins to go to Arizona, befriend the thief and kill him. >>MORE<<

This whole Jodi Arias ordeal is disgusting with all the press attention that this trial has gotten, basically glamorising the whole bloody mess making her the victim of this brutal murder that she has admitted too; …by giving her entirely to much face time through the TV, Internet, etc., trying to make it a real life ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ or something!

Why the MSM keep saying she is a poor little beautiful killer is beyond me even when she was a bleached blonde, kinky sex which she knew what she was getting into, Mormon convert. Or even better taking a camera crew into the jail cell she has to stay in, and talk about the meals she is made to eat. Ummmmm duh she’s in jail because she commited a crime. Claims Conference Plans To Respond on Botched Probe Int

Polina Breyter Ordered To Pay $500K Restitution

Polina Breyter, an employee of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany, also was ordered by U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Griesa in Manhattan to make restitution of nearly half a million dollars.


Breyter, 69, of Brooklyn, New York, processed false applications and recruited ineligible applicants for reparation programs in exchange for payments, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara said in a statement. She pleaded guilty in May to conspiracy to commit mail fraud.

Breyter “played a central role” in the scheme against the organization that lasted more than a decade, Bharara said.

The Claims Conference administers programs sponsored by the German government to victims of Nazi atrocities.

Thirty-one people have been charged in the scheme, including 18 who have pleaded guilty, the statement said.

At least $12 million went through 3,839 apparently fraudulent applications submitted for people who were not eligible for a “Hardship Fund,” including many born after World War II, according to U.S. Attorney Bharara. The fund makes a one-time payment of $3,500 to those who evacuated their homes and were forced to become refugees.Read more

Prosecutors Work To Keep Lid on $57M Corruption Case

Federal prosecutors are trying to prevent a jury from hearing evidence that a multimillion-dollar fraud at a non-profit which processes Holocaust claims is even more widespread than the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office have so far revealed.

The prosecutors, from the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office, are also trying to prevent defense lawyers from arguing that the German government and the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany were negligent and therefore partially to blame for the alleged $57 million fraud that will be the subject of the trial.

A fraudster’s guilt “simply does not depend on whether a victim was diligent or not,” prosecutors argued in court papers filed in U.S. District Court on March 22.


Judge Thomas P. Griesa, of U.S. District Court, has deferred ruling on both of the prosecutors’ requests unless and until such claims arise during the trial, which began with jury selection on April 8 and is expected to last for four weeks.

The Claims Conference distributes millions of dollars from the German government to Holocaust survivors around the world. The trial will focus on alleged fraud perpetrated against two Claims Conference controlled funds. Read more

Amid calls that the Claims Conference bungled a warning in 2001 about fraud within the organization, conference leaders appointed a committee to “formulate an appropriate course of action.”

The move, announced by board chairman Julius Berman in an email to board members on Sunday, followed an announcement by the World Jewish Congress that it was setting up its own task force to look into allegations of a cover-up by the Claims Conference.

The allegations concern the Forward’s revelation that an anonymous letter sent to the Claims Conference’s Frankfurt office in 2001 that identified five cases in which restitution was approved for ineligible claimants.

The letter reached the organization’s then-director in Germany, Karl Brozik, who queried Semen Domnitser, the official in New York who approved the cases and who was found guilty two weeks ago of spearheading the $57 million fraud scheme that run unimpeded at the Claims Conference from 1993 to 2009. In his 2001 response to Brozik, Domnitser acknowledged that the cases had been wrongfully approved but led officials to believe that any errors were inadvertent. The fraud scheme continued to run for nearly a decade more.

The Forward later revealed that current Claims Conference officials sought to shift the blame to Brozik, who has since died.

Among those who were CC’d on Domnitser’s response to Brozik was the former chief of the conference, Saul Kagan, it’s then-chief, Gideon Taylor, and its current chief, Greg Schneider, whose formal title is executive vice president.

The $57 million fraud scheme discovered in 2009 involved falsifying applications to the Hardship Fund, an account established by the German government to provide one-time payments of approximately $3,360 to those who fled the Nazis as they moved east through Germany, and the Article 2 Fund, through which the German government gives pension payments of approximately $411 per month to needy Nazi victims who spent significant time in a concentration camp, in a Jewish ghetto in hiding or living under a false identity to avoid the Nazis.

In all, 31 people were arrested in connection with the scheme. Twenty-eight pleaded guilty and the three who went to trial were found guilty this month in federal court in Manhattan.

The Zionist Organization of America has regained its tax exemption more than a year after its failure to file financial disclosures led the Internal Revenue Service to revoke its nonprofit status.

The 116-year-old Jewish group’s tax exemption was reinstated on May 15, according to a statement from the ZOA.

“We’re delighted and gratified,” said ZOA National President Morton Klein in an interview with the Forward. “Now we can be raising money directly for ZOA.”

Donations intended for the ZOA given between February 2012 and May 2013 went to a donor advised fund maintained by an outside organization.

The ZOA, which occupies a decidedly hawkish slot on the pro-Israel Jewish spectrum, faced deep internal strife following the loss of its tax exemption in February 2012. “Most churches in America have organized as ‘501c3 tax-exempt religious organizations.’ This is a fairly recent trend that has only been going on for about fifty years. Churches were only added to section 501c3 of the tax code in 1954. We can thank Senator Lyndon B. Johnson for that. Johnson was no ally of the church. As part of his political agenda, Johnson had it in mind to silence the church and eliminate the significant influence the church had always had on shaping ‘public policy.’

“Although Johnson proffered this as a ‘favor’ to churches, the favor also came with strings attached (more like shackles). One need not look far to see the devastating effects 501c3 acceptance has had to the church, and the consequent restrictions placed upon any 501c3 church. 501c3 churches are prohibited from addressing, in any tangible way, the vital issues of the day.

Tukwila; from Washington Territory in the Civil War to

Tukwila’s pioneers fought in Civil War </img>

The American Civil War began less than a decade after the first white pioneer settlers came to the Duwamish River Valley and formed Washington Territory. It may appear the war did not have any serious influence on the residents of this then remote area as most settlers were recovering from the Indian conflicts. Several men who served major roles for both the Union and Confederate Armies had been in Washington Territory. Some of the names that are recognizable are Ulysses Grant, George B. McClellan and George Pickett and all of served military assignments in the territory prior to the War. In the 1850s, U.S. Congress approved funding to build a military road from Fort Vancouver to Fort Bellingham.

The army troops worked with local pioneers to help survey the route that ran along the ridgelines on high ground and away from flooding rivers. An example of the type of route taken is being used today and is still known as Military Road which can be driven in one stretch from as far south as Milton and ending in Tukwila. The original road from Seattle to Fort Steilacoom was completed in 1860, the same year Abraham Lincoln was elected president.

Ulysses Grant was assigned in 1852 to Fort Vancouver, Oregon Territory, as quartermaster for the 4th Infantry Regiment. He noted in his journal the Native Americans were “harmless” and they would be peaceful had their homeland not been homesteaded by the white settlers. He also commented how the Klickitat tribe had been once powerful but was negatively impacted by a Smallpox outbreak. Grant resigned his commission from the Army in July 1854 and later accepted the request to return to the Army where he became Commander General of the Union Army with the outbreak of the Civil War. more

For most people, the phrase Jefferson Davis and the Pacific Northwest sounds like the ultimate historical paradox. But before he became President of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, Davis had had a long career of public service to the United States as a West Point graduate and Army officer, Congressman, Senator, Secretary of War and closest adviser to President Franklin Pierce. Matters concerning the Pacific Northwest commanded his close attention.
As an ardent expansionist, Jefferson Davis was a great supporter of creating a continental nation. From the time he entered Congress in 1845, through his final term in the Senate as Chairman of Military Affairs, he sponsored numerous bills and secured appropriations to promote American settlement of the West. In the 1840s, many in government discounted the value of the remote Oregon Country. Yet, in his first congressional speech, Davis addressed the boundary dispute with Great Britain, calling for the U.S. to assert its claims to the region. Expanding the Army presence along the Oregon Trail and throughout the Northwest, as well as sponsoring numerous surveys, topographical expeditions and scientific studies were among his top priorities.Advocating the initiation and expansion of mail service as well as securing pay increases for soldiers serving in the “Pacific possessions” were also among his efforts.

Jefferson Davis’ most enduring legacy to the Northwest may be his patronage of numerous engineering projects, among them the Pacific railroad surveys. more

Safety for refugees in Tukwila

Tukwila, a suburb of Seattle is a hub of refugee resettlement in that metropolitan area. Safety for refugees is a major issue. An article in The Seattle Times discusses these issues, although only speaks to refugees who feel safe in the city. Perhaps all of those who didn’t feel safe moved out.

The IRC’s Seattle office used to place most of its clients in Seattle. But about 10 years ago, Seattle became too expensive and too dangerous, says the agency’s executive director in Seattle, Bob Johnson. A case worker, who lived in Tukwila and knew an apartment manager there, suggested they look south.

Borka Markovic’-Paponjak was living in a refugee camp when the IRC relocated her and her family from Bosnia to Tukwila in April 2007.

“Tukwila was a scary place then,” she says. “There was prostitution, drug dealing, gang fights. Ten days after we arrived, a guy was killed in front of the coffee shop for 20 bucks.”

But Markovic’-Paponjak and her husband both got jobs. The kids thrived at school, and the other Bosnians in the complex formed a tight bond, watching after each other’s children and holding summertime pool parties.

“Now, I don’t have a speck of fear in me,” says Markovic’-Paponjak, who these days owns a home here and helps other refugees at the IRC. “Tukwila is warmer, nicer, willing to help,” she says. “

Each year, about 500 refugees are placed in Tukwila. Once on their feet, many move on, and their foods disappear from the Trading Post’s shelves… more

Stoning, or lapidation, is a form of capital punishment whereby a group throws stones at a person until death ensues. No individual among the group can be identified as the one who kills the subject, yet everyone involved plainly bears some degree of moral culpability. This is in contrast to the case of a judicial executioner. Slower than other forms of execution, stoning is a form of execution by torture.

When did Jews stop stoning people to death liketheir god commands them to do?
Christians say they don’t stone people to death anymore despite clear commandments from their god to do so because they claim those are old Jew laws. So what excuse do Jews use for disobeying their god by not stoning people to death for working on the Sabbath, eating shellfish, wearing clothing made from different fibers etc?

Stoning in Scripture
Palestine being a very rocky country, the abundance of stones made itnatural to use them as missiles. Stone throwing might be merely a mark of hatred and contempt (2 Samuel 16:6-13), or the means of carrying out murderous intentions against which provision had to be made in theLaw (Exodus 21:18, Numbers 35:17). Stoning to death which was at first an expression of popular fury analogous to “lynching”, later came to be a natural and legally recognized method of execution. It was this regulated by law as an appointed means of capital punishment(Deuteronomy 17:5-7; Acts 7:58). Death by stoning is prescribed in thePentateuch as the penalty for eighteen different crimes includingSabbath-breaking, but for one crime only — murder — is it the penaltyprescribed in all the codes. The execution of the criminal usually took place outside the city walls, and according to Deuteronomy 17:7, thewitnesses in the case were to cast the first stone: “Thou shalt bring forth the man or the woman, who have committed that most wickedthing, to the gates of thy city, and they shall be stoned. By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall he die who is to be slain…. The hands of thewitnesses shall be first upon him to kill him, and afterwards the hands of the rest of the people”. (Deuteronomy 17:5-7). Stoning is also mentioned in Acts 7:57-58, as the means by which Stephen the firstChristian martyr was put to death: “And casting him forth without the city, they stoned him.”


Everyone knows that the Islamic Republic of Iran is “extremist,” but in fact, in Islamic terms stoning is not “extremist”; it is Islamic law for adulterous women. The caliph Umar, one of Muhammad’s closest companions, even maintained that it was originally in the Qur’an:

‘Umar said, “I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, “We do not find the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,” and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed. Lo! I confirm that the penalty of Rajam be inflicted on him who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if he is already married and the crime is proved by witnesses or pregnancy or confession.” Sufyan added, “I have memorized this narration in this way.” ‘Umar added, “Surely Allah’s Apostle carried out the penalty of Rajam, and so did we after him.” (Bukhari, vol. 8, bk. 82, no. 816)

“Allah’s Apostle” is, of course, Muhammad, who did indeed carry out stonings. Here is the hadith in which he challenges the rabbis about stoning, and in which there is amidst the barbarism and brutality a final act of love and compassion:
The Jews came to Allah’s Apostle and told him that a man and a woman from amongst them had committed illegal sexual intercourse. Allah’s Apostle said to them, “What do you find in the Torah (old Testament) about the legal punishment of Ar-Rajm (stoning)?” They replied, (But) we announce their crime and lash them.” Abdullah bin Salam said, “You are telling a lie; Torah contains the order of Rajm.” They brought and opened the Torah and one of them solaced his hand on the Verse of Rajm and read the verses preceding and following it. Abdullah bin Salam said to him, “Lift your hand.” When he lifted his hand, the Verse of Rajm was written there. They said, “Muhammad has told the truth; the Torah has the Verse of Rajm. The Prophet then gave the order that both of them should be stoned to death. (‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar said, “I saw the man leaning over the woman to shelter her from the stones.” (Bukhari, vol. 4, bk. 56, no. 829)

Even the monkeys practiced stoning, according to another hadith:
During the pre-lslamic period of ignorance I saw a she-monkey surrounded by a number of monkeys. They were all stoning it, because it had committed illegal sexual intercourse. I too, stoned it along with them. (Bukhari, vol. 5, bk. 58, no. 188) >>>more<<<




Which of the three religions, Christianity, Judaism or Al-Islam prescribes stoning for adultery?

This matter is rather simple. Let’s take a look at what the Old Testament, New Testament and the Quran says about the punishment for adultery. Without interpretation or interpolation let’s just look at what each book prescribes. Then after doing so let’s ask the question which book are those who stone to death really following?
