Who qualifies? Participation in the Global Entry pilot is voluntary. Only U.S. citizens and Lawful Permanent Residents of the U.S are eligible to apply for membership. No person will be eligible for this pilot if they have been convicted of a criminal offense in any country; if they have ever been found in violation of the customs or immigration laws of the U.S. or any serious criminal offense; or provide false or incomplete information on their application. Additionally, no person will be eligible if they are determined to present a potential risk for terrorism, criminality,smuggling, or unlawful immigration. Children under the age of fourteen are not eligible to participate in the test. Children fourteen years of age and older, but under the age of eighteen, will require written consent of a parent or legal guardian. If an individual does not meet the requirements of Global Entry, their application will be denied.
